We are having an issue with the trial version of the QODBC driver while using it with Crystal Reports Server XI.
I've checked both the driver and quickbook and the autologin is set.
I get this error when I test the database connection from the driver.

When I try to use the QODBC  datasource in Crystal Reports Server, it never logs anything and I just get prompted in Crystal to login to the data source.

Any help is appreciated.
Nathan

First of all you need to have done the: How do I connect to QuickBooks for the first time?  procedure.

Then try using Crystal Report Designer: How do I use QODBC with Crystal Reports?

Finally, for unattended mode to work, you need to follow the: How do I setup QODBC to auto-login into QuickBooks and start it if it's not running? procedure.

To use Crystal Reports Server you will also need to setup the QODBC DCOMs as the server runs as a Windows Service, see: QODBC and Windows Service for more information.

Thanks for the info.

I've tried following all the steps, but am unable to get it to work.

When running VB Demo in unattended mode, it says that it's not setup to auto-login.
In QB 2007 Premier, I have it set to allow the driver to have access and login with the "admin" account.
It appears to be setup properly.

When following the setup instructions I get all of the messages verbatum, but it doesn't seem to work.
I've tried uninstalling the QODBC driver and Quickbooks as well.

While the DCOM piece isn't working, I suspect that part of it has to do with the unattended login piece.

Thanks for the help,
Nathan

Ok, now it working in VB Demo as unattended.
Thank you for the help.

Now we are using Crystal Reports Server XI, which is using Apache for the web interface.
I am able to use other DSN to connect to with Crystal Reports but it doesn't connect or log it connected when using the QODBC driver.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does the report auto-login and start QuickBooks when you run the report from within the Crystal Report Designer? Remember QuickBooks must not be running. Is QuickBooks on the server running Cystral Reports Server?

The report doesn't auto login.

Actually the report does work fine from a local install of Crystal Reports and QODBC running on a Vista machine.

Quickbooks is installed on the server where Crystal Reports Server is installed.

The QODBC Server Edition will need to be installed and the DCOMs configured on the server where Crystal Reports Server is installed.
