We have just purchased 2 user licenses for QODBC (read/write) and installed them on two different computers (Win XP). The install process worked fine, the setup process worked fine (tested connection to QB successfully), then from inside FileMaker, we are able to define the ODBC source (QuickBooks data), however when trying to execute any SQL commands to access the QB file, we get the following error messages: ODBC Error: [FileMaker][ODBC FileMaker Pro driver][FileMaker Pro]Connect failed ODBC Error: [Microsoft][ODBC ODBC Driver Manager]Function sequence error
How do we get around this? |

The posting talks about FM 6: "I have discovered some limitations in Filemaker 6"
We are using FM 9.
Also, we need to get the plugin to work first, before we worry about it's performance. It does not make sense that we would have to get another plugin, just to make the QODBC plugin to work!
We just paid for two licenses and followed all proper procedures for installation. All we're asking is to get what we paid for: A working plugin!
Thanks. |

Your question is actually a support question for the Filemaker folks as your problem seems to be about the ODBC FileMaker Pro plugin driver that we didn't supply.
Please verify "again" that QODBC is working correctly as per the: How do I connect to QuickBooks for the first time? procedure. |
