Microsoft Access and multiple QB companies |

First of all, the QODBC driver is working great. No issues. However, my question relates to solutions that may exist when trying to utilize it with Microsoft Access. I have set up an access database with tables that link up to 40 separate QB company files. I open each of them separately, and utilize an append query to transfer the table date to a static access table. Here is where the fun begins.. in order to clear the connection to that QB company file, I need to shut down the Access database, reopen it, and process the next append query.
I would like to develop a macro or module within Access that would perform the quit and reopening of access through automation. Has anyone had success with this that they may be able to share?
Thanks. |
