 We purchased an ODBC 2007 read/write license about a year ago to use with QB Enterprise Solutions 7.0

We recently upgraded to QB Ent Solutions 8.0

From what I've read in the forum we can't use our product key from ODBC 2007 to access QB 8.0 data (other than sample files)

Doesn't Enterprise Solutions contain a read only ODBC driver which we should be able to use or do we need to purchase something now?

If we want to continue having a read/write ODBC what do we need to do?

If you want to continue using your read/write version of QODBC you need to purchase a new CD Key for QuickBooks 2008. Be sure to also claim your rebate.

To transfer from any full QODBC Desktop Read/Write Edition to the QODBC Enterprise Read Only Edition you need to deactivate the QODBC Desktop Read/Write Edition on your computer (see: How do I deactivate QODBC? How do I transfer my license to my new computer? ). Once that's done QODBC should run in QODBC Enterprise Edition mode providing you are using QuickBooks Enterprise (USA editions only).
