Confirmation--is the item table read-only?? |

Hello,
Would someone be able to confirm that the item table in Quickbooks is read-only. I was able to use the QODBC 9.0 to update the customer table but when I did a test to try to update the item table it stated that the update is not supported (#10003). Is this correct that it is read-only or am I doing something wrong? I am using the trial version of QODBC 9.0.
Thanks, Tom |

The ITEM table is a combined (read only view) list of all Item tables in QuickBooks: ItemInventory, ItemNonInventory, ItemOtherCharge, ItemInventoryAssembly, ItemService, ItemFixedAsset, and ItemGroup; with minimum common fields.
Inserts and updates are actually done using the ItemInventory, ItemNonInventory, ItemOtherCharge, ItemInventoryAssembly, ItemService, ItemFixedAsset, or ItemGroup tables.
See: How do I add a Inventory Item using QODBC? How do I insert data into ItemService? How do I insert data into ItemNonInventory? How do I create a Item Assembly (ItemInventoryAssembly)? for more. |
