I have the optimizer set to "keep updated as of the last time i pressed the load data buttons"

I am running a simple select query in Access and the driver status window says waiting on quciksbooks (why?  there should be no update) and its read 1 record in 30 minutes.

What am I doing wrong?

I have Access 2003.  I started with QODBC v8 and just upgraded to v9 - read / write if it matters.

The multi-table sync check box has always been off.

I started a new database with new table links.

The optimizer will sit for over 30 min without reading a single record.  "Waiting for quickbooks".

I experience this problem inside Access and when I direct the optimizer to reload updated data directly from the setup screen, without access.

I have a dedicated Quickbooks server with win 2003 server, dual core processor, 4GB RAM.  I never see the RAM or processor usage about 25%.  I have a lightly loaded 1GPS network connecting the client and the server.  I clear the log file on the QB database frequently and my database is 250MB.

This is MS Access datasheets playing up. Try a pass-through query instead, see: How do I create a Pass-Through Report using Microsoft Access 2003?
