I can retrieve data from the sample company, but when I link to my live data, nothing shows up.  The table is linked but it does not have any rows.  I am using XP Pro SP2 with QB Ent 8 Contractor Edition.  I am linking to Access 2007.

Ok, give it another go with a blank database following the: How do I use prompted date ranges in MS Access 2007 using Vista? instructions.

If you have no luck, reset your optimized tables as per: How do I switch OFF or RESET the QODBC optimizer?

I followed the instructions but I still cannot retrieve data.  An OPT file is created (6kb), and I deleted and recreated my linked tables.  What else could be causing the problem?

Try using VB Demo to sort things out, see: How do I use the VB Demo for testing? and check the end of QODBC Message log in the QODBC Setup Screen Messages tab for error messages. You should also be logged in as the QuickBooks Admin account in QuickBooks to connect QODBC for the first time.

I don't have any items in my Start | Programs list, do I have an older version?  I just went into QB and selected Setup ODBC.  Do I need to purchase a different edition of the ODBC software?

Please download and re-install QODBC, see: How can I get the latest version of QODBC?

I downloaded and installed.  Now I have partial data.  For example, in Customer table, the Balance and OpenBalance columns are NULL when I import or link into MS Access.  However, values show whenh I use the VB Demo.  What could be the problem?

See: How do I setup the QODBC Optimizer? Where are the Optimizer options?
