| Error 80040154 trying to create dsn on client |

I can not create a dsn on my client to access the quickbooks on the server. I get this error.
80040154 unknown error
The forum says;
Quick books has to be on the machine but I do not want it on my client.
It also said to do things to quick books like reinstall which I do not want to do.
We were also told that we only needed one version of qodbc. I want to develop a VB program on my development machine and run it on the accounting machine both modifying files that reside on the server. I ended up downloading a trial version for the development machine.
