I am trying to connect to a remote host that is running the remote connector.  I get an error: [QODBC] QODBC Requires API version 1.1 or 2.0 to communicate with QuickBooks.  I turned on slow trace and all looks good in the log except the very end.

Thanks, Rob.

Following the: I do not want to install QuickBooks on every machine. How do I setup QODBC Remote? procedure, you should check that QODBC can connect on the Host Side on the PC running QuickBooks first. Use the QODBC Remote Connector Client on the Host Side first to sort out the connection first before connecting the other PCs.

Hi Tom!

For the first time in several months of successful months of QODBC usage, I'm getting an error - this one (log follows).  We only use QBOE here, so there's no local QB install to clean up.

I'm using version 6.00.00.155 if it helps.

Since I can't even run the test, what can I check to make sure everything is OK between my PC (with QODBC installed) and the OE server?

Thanks!

Please recheck your Login Key as per: How do I use QODBC with QuickBooks Online?

Intuit have also upgraded QBOE with new Active X controls and it might be that you need a new CD Key.

The serial number issued to you for this product indicates the highest version of Quickbooks Pro, Premier or Enterprise that the product can be used with. If your serial number contains the year "06" at position 2 of the serial number, it is registered to only work with QuickBooks 2006 and lower versions. If the serial number is set to "05" it will work only with QuickBooks 2005 and lower versions and so on.
