I have a piece of software which works fine on my machine on a local QB database.
Unfortunately, when I run under a citrix environment one of the two problems happen:
1. When quickbooks is closed
I can access the database from different machines/session.
It becomes really slow , though. Seems that it has to open
quickbooks in the background, and close it again.

 2. When quickbooks is opened.
I can quickly access from one machine. But when I try to access it
from another machine. It asks for the whole quickbooks driver/application
certification  again. That said, it invalidades the whole software.

If we buy more licenses does it solve the problem?

QODBC is licensed to each computer, not user. So environments like Terminal Server and Citrix require only the server to be licensed. For further information on how you need to use the QODBC Remote Connector in these types of environments see: W2K3 Terminal Server / QB2006 Ent. + QODBC

Is there any tricks to use connector on windows server 2003?

Here is my configuration.

Windows server 2003.
Citrix Metaframe

The client
It does not have anything except a small program and the QODBC Remote Connector.
The client program is pointing to a DSN  item  configured to use remote connector.

The server

What else should I configure to access quickbooks on a citrix environment.
I read many posts on the subject, but, still did not find exactly what should I
have in the client(actuallly a citrix session), and what should I have and configure
in the server

The procedure is already outlined at: W2K3 Terminal Server / QB2006 Ent. + QODBC . QuickBooks and the IBiz Remote Connector needs to run on the Server Console (Local Session).

For further information on using the QODBC Remote Connector and the iBiz Remote Connector see:  I do not want to install QuickBooks on every machine. How do I setup QODBC Remote?

On your clients you use the IP for the server, (http:// 192.168.1.10) not localhost .
