Windows XP, Quickbooks 2007 multi-user, QODBC V8.  My computer crashed.  I reinstalled everything including 2 DSN's for QODBC; One for each of my Quickbooks company files.  I use a VB app to import QB data.  One company is fine; the other won't let the VB app log in.  I ran the VBDemo program that came with QODBC and I get the same results.  One QB file is fine, the other is not..  I get the following error: 

QB Begin Session failed.  Error = 8004041d.  This application is not allowed to log into the Quickbooks company data file automatically. ...

I have gone to the Integrated Application section of Quickbooks and properly configured the Flexquarters properties.  I have compared the "good" company Preferences with the "bad" company preferences & I see no differences.  I have reviewed the QODBC Message file and it basically has the same error message.

Any suggestions would be helpful
