Must each client machine running QODBC have Quickbooks installed? |

I have an Access application that uses QODBC ver 8.0 to link to QB 2008. Both are being used in multi-user mode.
I'd like to run the Access front end on a machine that is not running QB (or even has QB installed). I was thinking I could use the unattended mode to do this, and set-up QODBC to open the approriate QB file off of our server. But QODBC comes back that the connection failed.
Is it possible to do this? Or must QB be installed on the machine running QODBC?
