Hello:

Per Intuit, QBES 8.0 will run on Windows Server 2008 in database server version only: http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/pages/knowledgebasearticle/1009944.  Is QODBC 8 compatible with such an environment / configuration?

Thanks, Mike

QODBC actually talks to QuickBooks, so you can't use it on the Windows Server 2008 itself, however it can be used on any workstation on the network that has QuickBooks installed.

That is what I feared.

QBES 9.0 is due out near the end of the year and is "supposed" to support Windows Server 2008 Terminal Services.  So hopefully, that problem will be eliminated.  Assuming QBES 9 will support WS 08 TS, will QODBC 8 (or 9?) run OK also?

Thanks, Mike

It will need QODBC v9 and most likely will need to be setup to work with QuickBooks RDS as the QODBC / iBiz Remote Connector options will cease.
