QODBC Scheduled Task |

I have a scheduled task running on our Windows 2003 server which copies data from QB to a database every night. The scheduled task calls a Visual Foxpro program. This task runs fine, as scheduled, if the user is logged into the terminal server account.
But, when the user is not logged in to terminal server, the scheduled task hangs. I get an error that says, "This application is not allowed to change its authentication preferences unless QuickBooks is running with the Administrator logged in."
This was working fine on our previous 2k3 server. This was working fine while we were testing the new 2k3 server (using the evaluation version of QODBC.) It apears to have stopped working once I deactivated/activated the QODBC license to move it to the new server. Could it be related or am i missing something? |

Thanks for your response. That helps a lot.
Just to be clear... Will it work if I have the server edition?
Since it worked fine for over a year on the old 2k3 server should I assume that I had the server version? Perhaps I used the wrong activation key?
Please clarify.

Please look at the About tab in the QODBC Setup Screen to check what type of license you are running. |

I am indeed running the Desktop Read Write 2006 Version 6.00.00.155 on the new server.
I checked the old server where the program was working. It says I was running the same version, but it now says it is a "QODBC Expired Evaluation" since I deactivated it. I cannot tell if it is/was the server version. |

Hopefully you are not running QuickBooks 2007 on the new server. Try running the Visual FoxPro program manually on the desktop. |

The Visual Foxpro data transfer program runs fine through the terminal server session.
The scheduled task runs fine when the user is logged into terminal server.
The scheduled task will not run when the user is not logged into terminal server.
This same configuration did work on our old server. Everything looks the same.
We are using QuickBooks 2006 Pro. |

The console user must be logged into terminal server for the scheduled task to run. |
