Hi

Recently we were sent QDBC v8.0.0.243 for QB 2008/09 AU version, but there seems to be some inconsistancies.  Certain areas of the driver do not appear to work correctly.

1.  SalesTaxCode table - when viewing this table it does not return any values in the ItemPurchaseTaxRefListID and ItemSalesTaxRefListId.  I believe these should be populated with the ListID of a entry from ItemSalesTax table.  When looking within the QB interface you can see the references to entries in this table.

2.  VendorCreditItemLine - ItemLineTaxCodeRefListId does not return a value.  From the QB interface you can see that the line has a tax code linked to it, but it does not show in any field in this table.  (Other tables like the Invoice table have a new salestaxcodereflistid field that has values - is this table missing the salestaxcode fields?)

3.  CheckExpenseLine - same problem as with VendorCreditItemLine.  Even though tax is set against the transaction in the QB interface, it does not show in any fields in the database table.

4. BillItemLine - same problem - even though tax is set on the transaction in the QB interface, it does not show in any tables.

There is probably other tables that have similar issues but these are the only ones i need to work with presently.   Am I correct in thinking this version of QODBC works with QB08/09.   I have received an email saying this is the version to use.

The Australian version of QuickBooks 2008/09 uses the new Intuit qbXML SDK 6.1that was changed in Sydney by Reckon based on the USA version of QuickBooks 2007. All references to TaxCode are now returned to their normal USA SaleTaxCode column names. QODBC has not been remapped for all the column changes that appear in SDK 6.1, so it currently shows incorrect column names that don't match the SDK. This remapping is being done by the QODBC Software Engineer but I haven't seen a remapped version yet.

In short, because of the above, Data Access Worldwide in Australia has not released QODBC for QuickBooks 2008/09 and it does not appear on their websites.

is there a timeframe for when this will be available?  As you may be aware QB 08/09 is already shipping to customers through AU/NZ, and since most of our customers are on the subscription version this means they are being forced to upgrade to 08/09 right now (Reckon will not release to them new licenses for 07/08).

We have a situation now where our customers that are forced into 08/09 are unable to integrate.
