Now I followed your directions for making a DSN connection with asp, but my question is, can you have a web logon form that authenticates in quickbooks as a user?

Assuming there's a single server running the asp webpage, QODBC would normally be configured to use the anonymous user and be logged into QuickBooks using the QuickBooks "admin" user. However, you can use AUTHENTICATED USERS, see: Permissions Issue with IIS using AUTHENTICATED USERS for more.

No I meant the login for quickbooks.  Instead of automatically logging in as admin, I would like them to use their normal quickbooks login.  Is that possible?

Yes, but only on a workstation by workstation (copy of QuickBooks) basis. See: What is error: 3260 (“Insufficient permission level to perform this action”)? for more.

When you look at the link you should also see that QuickBooks user account has to be first authorised using QuickBooks with the company file opened on the workstation using the QuickBooks "admin" account.  But you cannot have a web form that sets the user account to use.
