i think i may have had a major blonde moment and need help.  I have been using QODBC v7 on my devolopment machine ( win XP pro ) with full blown SQL2005 running on it. Apart from the queries running a little slow in enterprize manager things have been workable. I decided to install QODBC on to one of the live SQL2005 servers. ( operating system Windows 2003 ).

I purchased an aditional desktop licence  (  i said i had a blonde moment ) , but have not been able to configure the QODBC to work.  when trying to do a test connection from the setup screen, it take ages then pops up with the fimilliar error message box.

What i woudl like ot know is do i really need a Server licence and would this be the reason im having this problem.  The SQLServer 2005 is mirroring to a secong SQL2005 server.

Any help would be most appricated

i really do need help, this computer stuff is like double dutch

On the Windows 2003 server, try logging in as the administrator and do the: How do I connect to QuickBooks for the first time? procedure first.
