We installed QB V8 on a W2003 server - works fine. We installed paid version of QODBC for version 8.
Admin authorized use of Flexquarters. User1 is on remote desktop, runs Utilities > Config ODBC > Test Connection to QB - works fine. User1 can run Crystal Reports on QB data - works fine. User1 goes to Utilities > Config ODBC > Optimizer > Load updated data won't run - get ;
"Begin Session Failed. S0000 00000 [QODBC] QB Begin Session Failed. Error = 80040418, This application has not accessed this QuickBooks company data file before. The QuickBooks administrator must grant an application permission to access a QuickBooks company data file for the first time." |

The Load Updated Data ultity is a different application to Crystal Reports. QuickBooks needs to be logged in again as the admin user and the new (additional) FLEXquarters QODBC intregrated application authorized and then changed to User1 also. |

Crystal Reports works through our Flexquarters QODBC integrated application so I know that Flexquarter is authorized on QB. What does "Changed to User1" mean?
Thanks |

You are using User1 instead of admin. |

You said - "QuickBooks needs to be logged in again as the admin user and the new (additional) FLEXquarters QODBC intregrated application authorized and then changed to User1 also"
Let me try to ask my question a different way. In your phrase "...and then Changed to User1 also" - what action must the Admin user take to "...Change to User1 aslo". Who must do what to get User1 to be able to use the select the "Load Updated Data" button and not just get an error message. Remember that User1 is already set up and approved to run a report that works through the QODBC link and the reports run fine - just the "Load Updated Data" button does not work.
Thanks
