| Does QODBC & Quickbooks have to be Installed on Same Machine |

I have set up the QODBC read/write driver on my machine. The driver connects to another local machine in the office to access the specific QuickBooks Company File. My machine only needs to access the Quickbooks data through the driver and I do not create any QuickBooks transactions.
Do I still need QuickBooks software installed on my machine ?
