Why do I get: "[FlexODBC][FLEXERR] Can't update Record 0 of data file" errors? |

This message is saying that something has the table open in exclusive open mode, instead of shared mode. The last time we saw something like this was at a customer site that used a auto-backup system. It turned out that the backup system was opening each dat file one at a time and backing it up every five minutes. The site was using Visual DataFlex, but same error, Can't update Record 0 of data file, which is the header record for the table. FlexODBC uses the same API as Visual DataFlex.
