QB Enterprise 2008 - QODBC - MS Access 2007.

First time using this program.  I am trying to simply test it by updating an Item Description in a table.
I am getting a MS Access error
ODBC - update on a link table failed - QODBC - not supported #10003

Once I get past this issue - I would like to delete this whole table since it was created wrong long ago.  Then I will correct the issue by importing the correct one.

What is going wrong and is any of this possible?

The ITEM table is a combined (read only view) list of all Item tables in QuickBooks: ItemInventory, ItemNonInventory, ItemOtherCharge, ItemInventoryAssembly, ItemService, ItemFixedAsset, and ItemGroup; with minimum common fields.

Inserts and updates are actually done using the ItemInventory, ItemNonInventory, ItemOtherCharge, ItemInventoryAssembly, ItemService, ItemFixedAsset, or ItemGroup tables.
