I have QB 7 installed (Canada) and everything was working fine. I've installed QB 8 Server (Canada) on our Windows 2003 SBS and the QB 8 client on my Desktop. I've only  upgraded a test database to begin playing with the new version and converting forms/reports. My QODBC points to the specfic current company file that has not been upgraded but I receive the following error when trying to acess any of the production V7 tables.

IsAService: False
Error Getting Version

2007-12-21 08:17:17 QODBC Ver:  7.00.00.214

I'm trying to clean up my Customer files via ODBC before year end and upgrading everyone to V8

QODBC talks to QuickBooks which talks to the companyfilename.qbw file. There can only be one version of QuickBooks on your computer and you will need to use QODBC v8 and have a 2008 CD Key (not 2007 v7) to continue to use QODBC with QuickBooks 2008.
