I got this error:

[1/10/2007 2:22:41 PM - 192.168.1.148] Connection refused: Basic YWRtaW46cnA0ZGJh

What does it mean?

It means the connection was refused, which can be for any number of reasons. Unfortunately you have only provided the error line and not what you were doing or how you are using QODBC.

I am connecting from a remote computer to the host computer that has QB on it.  I ran a simple query that selected  from the Host table.  The connection to QB was working before today.  As far as I know nothing has changed.  What are the possible causes of the error?  I had never seen it before.

Is the iBiz Remote Connector running and in the system tray of the host computer? Please review your setup as per: I do not want to install QuickBooks on every machine. How do I setup QODBC Remote?

Have you upgraded QuickBooks or QODBC?

The IBiz remote connector is running, that is where I'm viewing the error.  Everything seems to be in place.  I have not upgraded Quickbooks or QODBC.  Should I?

Try connecting QODBC directly on the host computer (the one running QuickBooks) and if that works, change the QODBC setting son the host computer to go through the iBiz Remote Connector running on the same machine, and after that works, then from QODBC on the remote computer.
