Using the IBiz remote connetor, I noticed the following error when I try to run an applicaiton through it:

Error: 110: Invalid value for QBConnectionString.  What is causing this and how can I fix it?

Thanks

What is your connection string? See: How do I build a connection string with all the available QODBC parameters? for more on connection strings and I do not want to install QuickBooks on every machine. How do I setup QODBC Remote? for more on setting up the QODBC Remote Connector.

I read the post you gave me and this is the connection string I entered into the linked server for SQL Server 2005

DRIVER={QODBC Driver for QuickBooks};IBizRemotePWD=removed;IBizRemoteConnect=Yes;IBizRemoteURL=http://localhost:2080; IBizRemoteConnTimeOut=120;IBizRemotePromptForPWD=No;IBizRemoteForce2002_2003=Yes; OpenMode=M;DFQ=C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks\Company Files\McFarland Door.QBW;OLE DB Service=-2

I still receive this error from IBiz:

[1/26/2007 4:57:38 AM - 127.0.0.1] Client has connected.
[1/26/2007 4:57:38 AM - 127.0.0.1] Connection refused: Basic IFVSTCA9IDpkZXRlcm1pbmU=

[1/26/2007 4:57:38 AM - 127.0.0.1] Client has disconnected.

And this error from SQL Server:

OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "q" returned message "[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed".

OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "q" returned message "[QODBC] QB Begin Session Failed. Error Calling OpenQBConnection Returned Error: 151 - Server Error: 110: Invalid value for QBConnectionString.".

Msg 7303, Level 16, State 1, Line 1

Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "q".

Thanks for your help in this Tom

Try simply configuring the Remote settings in the QODBC Setup Screen and using the normal DSN setup:
