I am currently using a trial version of quickbooks to test the qodbc program.  I am wanting to evaluate before I take the step of purchasing these programs.

When trying to test a DB Connection in data source administrator I get the message

"Test connection to quickbooks failed

[QODBC] QB Open Connection Failed. Error = 80040407, Online Edition Connection could not find connection parameters for this appName"

My quickbooks is installed, open and working, what could be the problem.. the trial version status?

Your trial version of QuickBooks must be registered before using QODBC. Please follow the procedure shown at: How do I connect to QuickBooks for the first time?
