Just a quick question. I've recently been awarded the honour of fixing our QuickBooks Online integration. We're using v5 of the QODBC driver, however trying to write any data to QBOE results in the message:

java.sql.SQLException: [QODBC] This function requires the activation of the PRO features.

When I go into the ODBC Data Sources, drill into our data source and click 'About' on the driver I get the message that we're using "QODBC Pro Read/Write 2005 / Version 5.00.00.096"

However when I use the VBS examples that came with QODBC I get a popup saying "QODBC Basic 5.00.00.096".

What's going on, which version are we actually using? Is it possible that it was some kind of "Basic read-only with 30 days trial of Pro Read/Write"?

Your copy of driver will only work with QuickBooks 2003, 2004 and 2005. If you use later versions of QuickBooks (including the QuickBooks Online Edition) the QODBC registration system will detect that you only have a 2005 serial number and the drivers paid-for registration will fail and the driver will fall back to the free basic mode that QODBC v5 supported.

To cut a long story short, you need to purchase QODBC v7 if you want to use the 2007 QuickBooks Online Edition.
