I installed QODBC and when I went to the Integrated Applications section in one of my two Quickbooks companies, I do not see QODBC, but the other company has QODBC as an application.  I have reinstalled QODBC, but no change to the one company.  Help...

You need to start QuickBooks and open the company file in question logged in as the QuickBooks administrator (admin user) and do the: How do I connect to QuickBooks for the first time? procedure.

I have logged into Quickbooks as the Administrator on company #1, but the Integrated Apps contains two other applications, but no QODBC.  If I log in as the Administrator for company #2, the integrated Apps contains the proper QODBC entry.  This is very strange.  Do I have to install the driver once for each company that I have?  Do I have to have Quickbooks open in Company # 1 before installing QODBC?

You need do the: How do I connect to QuickBooks for the first time? procedure with every company file you wish to use. Only when you connect to the company file and authorize QODBC will QODBC appear in the Integrated Application list for that company file.

I am getting very frustrated with this product.  I was going to buy this product, but I'm having second thoughts.   I followed the instructions you provided me, but I get absolutely NO prompt as your document states.  The instructions work fine for the other two companies (two test companies), but NOT the main quickbooks company I need.   Is there anything setup wise that would block the linking of the QODBC and Quickbooks at the company level, since I can see the data in the other two companies fine.

I logged into the computer as an Administrator

I installed QODBC

I logged into the Quickbooks Company as the Administrator

I ran VB demo, setup the System DSN

I get NO prompt, no connection, no nothing.   I have read everything on your web site and also read a lot of info in the group, but for some reason this company wont link with QODBC.  I will try the process on another machine and see if it is machine related.

You log into the computer as an Administrator

You already have QODBC installed.

You log into the Quickbooks Company as the Administrator and open the company file

You run VB demo, using the "QuickBooks Data" System DSN, you don't setup up anything.
