From all the tests I did, it seems that QuickBooks need to be open all the time. Is it possible to open it and than close it? We are working with QuickBooks 2008 Enterprise on a network environment with multi-user mode but QB is only open when a user log to it. Otherwise, QB is not open from the network perspective. Now that I am developping an Information and Management Web Application, I will required to get and send data with Quickbooks but the SysAdmin team will not accept that a session of QuickBooks will stay open at all time! I need to find a way to open it, do the queries and then close it.

Thank you for any help.

Simply use unattended mode as per: How do I setup QODBC to auto-login into QuickBooks and start it if it's not running?
