Should I expect any performance difference with the QODBC driver and the different versions of QuickBooks? I have been testing a sample application (that uses QODBC) and have the same response time for Premier and Enterprise. Is there anything I'm missing (eg. connection string, etc ...) that would make a difference? |

Many of our customers have reported that QuickBooks Enterprise is faster, especially with large company files. In fact many have had to upgrade to Enterprise for perfromance issues and not for 10 user licenses.
QODBC performance really depends on how it's used and how the SQL statements are constructed.
For example, see: performance issues and QuickBooks is slow when finding by Customer Name? |
