I currently am using the online version of quickbooks. But I'm getting tired of all the connection problems I am having with QODBC & Quickbooks. It seems like QB is making a change every few months that screws everything up. I am thinking of changing over to the desktop version because of this. I have everything setup in Access. Will the SQL queries work the same on the desktop version as the online version? I'm hoping that I can just redirect my QODBC driver to the desktop version. Is this generally what will be required?

Once you install QuickBooks on your desktop you can import your QBOE company file and setup QODBC to talk to QuickBooks on your desktop instead of QBOE. As far as your SQL queries are concerned, they will continue to work and you will be able to do more things using QuickBooks. |
