I need new documentation for record layouts and relations.

In the Candian Enterprise 2005, the invoice table had 2 tax fieldsTAX1TOTAL and TAX2TOTAL

These taxes have been combined into one field called SALESTAXTOTAL.

I need to break this down into the 2 taxes.

The current documentation does not specify these changes or other changes, like the TAXCODE table is now called the SALESTAXCODE table.

Please help.

The problem has arisen due to the new Canadain version QuickBooks 2008 being built on the USA version of QuickBooks 2007. This has mean't the USA qbXML SDK 6.0 has been altered to work with both inward and outward tax but everything is now called SalesTax. Further changes where done in Australia and then handled back to Canada and UK.

You need to be using the QODBC v9 beta found at: Release 9.0.0.250 Fixes to see the new column mappings in SDK 6.1. As far as documentation is concerned, they are not willing to provide us with the document that outlines how tax is handled in QuickBooks. You will need to run a series of test transactions and examine the resutls but from past experience PST and GST are just combined in a single amount.
