I used to have a database from quickbooks linked into Access. Everything worked great, I could write and read. Its been about a month and I went back and tried to use the link and it didn't work. I got the error "ODBC -- call failed". Nothing has changed that I can think of.
I try recreating thelink by going to External Data>More>ODBC Database and I get the error "The database is read-only"I create a name fr it, than select "Machine Data Source" tab and click "Quickbooks Data" (I've also tried "QODBC N").

Open a new MS Access .mdb and try relinking again. If there are other users on the network using the FREE QODBC Read Only Enterprise Desktop with the Enterprise Company file, then the company file will be hardcoded as read-only (a Intuit requirement). |
