Is there an easy way of detecting if certain tables in QuickBooks were modified? What we have are two databases (MS SQL and QuickBooks). If an estimate is turned into an invoice in QuickBooks, or perhaps even if a customer is added/information is changed, we want to be able to tell that the data was changed so that we can make similar changes to the MS SQL database. |

You can use the timemodified column to check for new rows or changed rows within tables, but this won't tell you if the balance or if the quantity on hand has changed. See the unofficial list of columns/fields affected by Null/Dirty Reads/Real Time found at: How do I setup the QODBC Optimizer? Where are the Optimizer options? for more info on things you will not be able to detect using the timemodified timestamp. |
