Integrated Applications Defaults |

I keep running into the issue that write priveledges are disabled. When I open the setup screen the Integrated Applications Defaults are unavailable. It is as if my registered read-write version has reverted to a read only edition.
This problem started last week, and I removed references to the Flexquarters application in quickbooks, and reconnected as if for the first time, and everything seemed to go back to normal. However, this time that is not working.
What am I missing? There has to be something going on that I am not doing right. No other versions of the connector have been used with this company file, and yet I am still having this issue.

Let me gues, you're using QuickBooks Enterprise (USA version)? Check the about tab in the QODBC Setup Screen for the actual license status of the copy of QODBC you are using. If the Enterprise company file is opened by the QODBC Enterprise Desktop Edition anywhere on the network, then the company file will be hardcoded to be read only (a Intuit requirement).
If you have a full QODBC Read/Write version with a W07Uxxxxxxxx type serial number, then it will become read only when you use QuickBooks 2008 Enterprise (USA version only). |

Well no, I've QB Enterprise, and a W07Uxxxxxxx serial number. But I assume that it is the same issue.
So is there no fix? What must I do to resolve this situation?

If you're now using QB Enterprise 2008, then you need a new CDKey Code for a QODBC W08Uxxxxxxx serial number. |

Sorry, that's a typo, my serial number is a W08U..., and I've Enterprise 08.
Same question, what do I do to resolve this issue? |

If the Enterprise company file is opened by the QODBC Enterprise Desktop Edition anywhere else on the network, then the company file will be hardcoded to be read only (a Intuit requirement).
If you used the FREE QODBC Enterprise Desktop Edition with MS Access and then purchased a full read write QODBC CDKey Code later on, then your MS Access stored connection string will still force the Integrated Application defaults to be read only. In this instance you need to unlink all the QODBC tables, remove the FLEXquarters QODBC Integrated Applications in QuickBooks and relink them (again). |
