Im interested in purchasing the driver, but first i need to test it with Online Edition which im having a problem with. My question is actually kinda stupid, sorry. Do you need to aquire the TicketID in the browser on the same pc as the QODBC driver that is going to use it is running on?
Here is my situation: my management has the logins, they wont let me have it (and i dont want respopnsibility of having access to it either) . Boss logged in and created the TicketID, then emailed to me. I put it into the QODBC on my server, clik apply and ok and it just doesnt do anything, and when i open config tool again, the TicketID is not in there anymore! please help!
thanks,V. |

Your Boss can give you the Connection Key, but you will still have to get the login key on your computer each time you use QODBC unless you switch off security.
See: How do I use QODBC with QuickBooks Online? for more.
Note: You don't have to be logged into QBOE in your browser to use QODBC, QODBC can connect directly. |

even if security is set to 'NO'? I thought the login key was only required when secuity was enabled... Do I still need the login key? and for that I need to have the login info and do it on the computer that is running the QODBC?

If your administrator chooses anything other than "No, Anyone can run QODBC Driver on this computer can use the connection" you will have to enter your login in every time a QODBC session or a QODBC connection is made. For you to have access to the data you must have a connection ticket which can only be created by a company file administrator. |

Hi, so I have security set as "No, anyone can run QODBC...". I was able to login WITH the login key + connection key, but it still requires a new login key after the original one expires.
I thought I would be able to login WITHOUT getting new login keys every time if I set security to "No, anyone can run QODbc..", no? Is there a way to logfin without requiring extra user interaction every time?
Thanks, V. |

You need to leave the login key blank. |
