Downloaded SQL 2008 to be installed as another instance.  SSIS package works in SQL 2005 suddenly stop working right. Had to strip out both SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 installations, reinstall SQL 2005 from scratch to make it back.

Use another server with only SQL 2008  to test, we can recreate the problem. It seems that , for some reason, every text columns maps to string columns in destination table. Without ending zeros, those ListID fields are nothing but NULL in the SQL tables now. Could it be the nvarchar data type?

Please help. We do need SQL 2008 for the new Tablix feature in Report Server 2008.

Thanks a lot.

Based on what I've seen so far with Visual Studio 2008, Microsoft now defaults its products to operate in 64 bit mode. Check that there isn't an explicit option or setting for 32 bit drivers like QODBC.

Did you ever resolve this issue?  I am having the same problem.  I have installed SQL 2008 32 bit on a 32 bit version of windows so I don't think I'm having x64 mode issue?
