Since I wish to user the optimizer, when setting up a new user, I need to run "Reload All Data".
I think this takes about 4 to 5 hours to run, so best to run at night.
How can I tell when it completed? I don't see a log for this? |

As per: How do I setup the QODBC Optimizer? Where are the Optimizer options? , all active QODBC connections appear in the system tray. Both QODBCFUL.EXE or QODBCUPD.EXE set the errorlevel variable if errors are detected, and error messages are written into the QODBCLOG.TXT log file. Passing a DSN on the command line to these programs will choose the QuickBooks company file you wish to use. |

I apologize. I asked the question imprecisely.
What I meant was, how can I tell what time of day the reload/update completed so I can know how long it takes and make sure it doesn't interfere with system backups?

You can turn on "Verbose Optimizer Status" to see when optimization is running. |
