I read the article on the topic of creating a Linked Server to QuickBooks from SQL Server via the Web Server Edition:
http://www.qodbc.com/qodbcsqlserver.htm
But there was one item that was not very clear. It says it "assumes QuickBooks running on the system console."
Does this mean that QuickBooks Enterprise Edition 8 needs to be fully installed with the Application and a QB license or that just the Database Server needs to be installed, which does not require the QB License? If it requires the QB App, then that's an additional QB license that's required to implement this solution.
Thanks,
