I would like to reclassify an inventory item to a non-inventory item.  First, I will need to adjust out the current stock but then how to reclassify.  Since QB has separate tables for inventory and non-inventory, I do not know that it will let you remove one part number and then add it to another table.  Once the part has been used, I do not believe it will allow you to delete it.

Thanks,

B&R

Try renaming the old part and then create it as a new NonInventory item.  If you need to zap the inventory do: How do I do Inventory Adjustments?
