Till date we are using the QODBC desktop version, now we want to use to the server version of QODBC, before purchase the activation key I want to test the server version without interrupting the current process of desktop version, how can I do that ? I need a vary safe way so that when required I can easily come back to the desktop version. |

Well the best way would be to install a new copy of QODBC and QuickBooks on a test server (or another workstation) that doesn't have QODBC on it. Failing that you can use any of the QuickBooks Sample Company files with a QODBC Desktop version and run in QODBC Server Edition mode (only with a QuickBooks Sample Company file).
BTW: The QODBC Server Edition has nothing to do with being a server version. The QODBC Server Edition is required when QODBC is called from a program that is running as a Windows Service or through a Windows Service.
See: How does the 30 day evaluation work? How can I evaluate the Desktop Edition? |

Actually I want to communicate QODBC to SQL Server, using the link server, so in the test server (which u said) should I have to make a database to test ? Or I can use the database which is in the real server ? |
