Using the server edition?
Can I have more than one QBP app connecting simultaineously? If not, do I have to run multiple QODBC Servers, can that be done.

The QODBC Server Edition only works with the one copy of QuickBooks. The "Use DCOM Servers" QODBC setup setting is required for any Windows Service connections and requires a Server Edition of QODBC and QuickBooks to be running on the Server Console.
If you require to connect to multiple copies of QuickBooks running on other computers you use the Desktop Edition and the QODBC Remote Connector configured to the IP of the QuickBooks computer. You can setup as many connnections as you require, but they must have their own QODBC license and be running on standalone workstations or servers.
See: I do not want to install QuickBooks on every machine. How do I setup QODBC Remote? for more. |
