Is it possible to add the 'Department'  or 'Class' as an output or a sort in the Trial Balance stored procedure?  We have a need to get a Trial Balance by Class.  We do have a custom report in QB that provides this functionality, but would prefer to get at the data though QODBC.  Department will work since we have a csoss-reference between Dept <-> Class.

Please advise.

Parson

Sorry department isn't in the reporting interface in Intuit's qbXML SDK. You can't summarize columns by class, but you can filter by Class like this:

sp_report TrialBalance show Debit_1_Title as Date, AccountNumber, AccountName, Debit_1 as Debit, Credit_1 as Credit
parameters DateFrom = {d'2007-10-01'}, DateTo= {d'2008-10-31'}, ReportBasis = 'Accrual', ClassFilterFullNameWithChildren = 'Remodel'

See: How do I run a Trial Balance Report? for more.
