Is there anything out there that will allow a user to connect (Using local QB Enterprise) to hosted server with quickbooks installed WITHOUT HAVING THE quickbooks open? |

The QuickBooks remote access service gives you the ability to work with QuickBooks over the Internet from a remote computer.
With remote access, you don't have to take QuickBooks or your company file with you when you need to work away from your office. All you need is a computer with an Internet connection.
Signing up for remote access 1. Go to the File menu, choose Utilities, and then click Remote Access. 2. Follow the onscreen instructions. |

Is there an application that can provide connectivity without having the quickbooks file open.
Thank you. |

No, Intuit requires all IDN partners to develop products through their SDK which requires QuickBooks to be open either in the foreground or as a background task.
You should also have a look at QuickBooks Online. |
