Is it possible to throw a trigger with SQL when a Quickbooks user makes an update/insert? My understanding of SQL ends at the instance itself. I'm thinking the answer is no, but if there is a (elegant) workaround without needing to get into QBs SDK let me know.
Thanks,
Tim W.

No, that isn't how the Intuit qbXML SDK works. So QODBC is unable to do it also. Intuit have a different interface that allows you to monitor everything that is happening in QuickBooks and setup triggers, but that's beyond the scope of this forum. Contact Intuit directly for more details.

Ahh, so the QODBC simply uses qbXML to interact. I was hoping it was a little lower level. Still an awesome product. Thanks!
