Tom,

Is there a way to post/change a line item with no item number or with an item number and a different description?  I want to append some notes on an invoice as a line item with no other information other than the description.  I have not tried appending a new invoice then recalling that invoice and changing the description.  Thanks for your help.

Bill

If you're asking if you can insert a InvoiceLine that only has a description  (InvoiceLineDesc), the answer is no. However, you can create Service items that act like notes that you can insert as invoicelines with zero values.

the description line would contain information about what work was performed so each invoice could theoritcally be different.  I would in essence be creating an additional service item for each invoice if I understand you correctly.  What about editing the invoice after creation to change the description?  Thanks for the quick response Tom...

Yes, see: Do you have an example on how to modify existing invoices and add lines also?
