Hello,

I receive the following error message after my system has been running for a few days. I have QODBC v6.00.00.147 pointing to Remote Connector V3. I use PHP to access data.

Received in web browser:  Warning: odbc_connect() [function.odbc-connect]: SQL error: [ODBC] QB Begin Session Failed. Error Calling OpenQBConnection, SQL state S0000 in SQLConnect.

I am also receiving this in the QODBC log:  [ODBC] QB Begin Session Failed. Error Calling OpenQBConnection.

Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks, Brenton

Brenton,

You haven't said what the Remote Connector is connecting to at the other end and how  (LAN or Internet)? The error is saying it can't open the connection to QuickBooks, which could be for any number of reasons.

Ideally you should close your connection and restart QODBC as a daily routine. QODBC is simply not mean't to be running for days on end.

Tom

BTW: A QODBC v6.00.00.150 update is available from: http://www.qodbc.com/download/qodbc.exe
