Does ver 6.00.00.176 work properly with XP Pro and Office (access) 2003? I have a user that has migrated from Win 2000 and office 2000 to (finally) and XP Pro PC with Office 2003. I have an access routine that pulls unpaid checks from the BillPaymentCheck table that still works on the old PC but fails on the the new.... it locks up both access and QB. Other tables work fine, vendor for instance.

Any thoughts?

You should be using QODBC v8, even if you have a v6 CD Key. Please download and install v8 and try again, see: How can I get the latest version of QODBC?

That may have done it, although it seems very slow..... we'll see tomorrow during a live test.

thanks!

You will need to change the default optimization settings, see: How do I setup the QODBC Optimizer? Where are the Optimizer options?

When I make the recommended changes to the Optimizer settings and apply them I get errors with the fqqbvsav.exe program. If I use the logged in users credentials (XP on active directory) I get a application failed to start, if I do it as local or network admin user I get "the stub received bad data...."

QODBC must be installed and run from a XP user account that is setup as a "Computer admistrator", it can't be used by Limited Account users.

Hmmmm.... that may create some challenges since corporate IT security policies do not allow users local admin rights.
