I have created a report that tells me all of the items on sales orders for a given date range. What I need to do, however, is I need have my employees have the ability to to filter that by vendor. Any idea how to create a prompt with a pulldown menu that allows users to select the report specific to a vendor? |

I don't understand your answer. I'm just using your QReportFinder program to create a report from my QB data tables. The only "programming" that I have done is to click on the "get records to print" button in the report editor window and then I put in the following in the "filter" box:
Txndate >= Var -> askD_1_Begin_Date .AND. Txndate <= Var -> askD_2_End_Date
Which is basically the code that you guys had out on your tutorial for Expression Building.
What code (or tool) could I use to allow the users of the report that I have created to select a particular vendor? Any ideas would be helpful. |

Sorry, you have posted this to the wrong product forum. QODBC v7 FREE Helpdesk Support is for QODBC, not QReportBuilder, see: QReportBuilder for QuickBooks .
Note: The QDeveloper Forum only provides installation support for QReportBuider currently. |

C'mon Tom, I'm getting ready to buy 5 versions of your QReportBuilder for one business and may purchase more copies for a second before the end of the week (I employ over 50 people doing QB advisory and Accounting consultation for businesses in the area)...essentially, I ran across your product for building reports and think that it may be a huge hit with many of my clients...and the best you can do for me is "this isn't the right forum??"
I've noticed that you are also the expert for the QReportBuilder forum. So the way I see it either you don't have the ability/knowledge to answer my question or you don't care about my business. So which is it?
I need some help here...you seem to be the only person on the planet who has the resources to help me answer what is probably a very simple question...IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO A PULL-DOWN MENU IN QREPORTBUILDER THAT ALLOWS PEOPLE TO FILTER REPORTS BY FIELD DATA (SUCH AS VENDOR NAME)? |

Sorry, the user interface of QReportBuilder has undergone considerable changes in both design, operation and appearance making it impossible for me to document "how to...s" as I do here in the QDeveloper Forum. FLEXquarters.com LLC have also indicated that QReportBuilder will have it's own help and answer support system that will not be in this forum, so for now I'm only offering limited installation support for feedback purposes. I suggest you contact Mark directly for help on what you are wanting to do.
All QReportBuilder non-installation related support matters require the purchase one of our Support Incidents (charges apply). That support is currently provided by Team members outside of Australia. |
