Silent install of QODBC Driver |

Hi,
We have purchased the OEM license of QODBC driver so that we can distribute the driver along with our application. We would like to include the QODBC driver install in the setup of our own program so that it runs seamlessly and also gets registered without user intervention. Is it possible to supress the windows that come up during the install by providing parameters?
Also if we can use the autoinst.ini file with the OEM CD key, is this file a parameter to the install file qodbc.exe? If not, how do we use it so that the install program reads it during installation?
Another question is, if we can create such install and want to test it in-house, is there a way to test it without actually using one of the licenses?
Thanks,
Aparna |

With the release of QODBC v6, the QODBC Desktop Edition OEM 15 Seat License Pack now uses the standard product with the only restrictions being that the Developer is responsible for the CD Key and the support of his clients. It's recommend that you execute our standard install qodbc.exe as part of your installation package. If my memory is correct we call the silent install a quiet install, try installing as qodbc /q |

Thanks Tom. The command qodbc/q works for the silent install.
