I all I trying to connect a DHL Shipping solution to Quickbooks using QODBC and when every I do a serch for an Inovice or Sales Order the Quickbooks in there own tables the applications stops responding.  I don't get anyinformation comming from the tables in quickbooks.  the company is using Quickbook enterprise 6 and have 10 accounts for connections.

even using the program that came with the QODBC to look at the tables and to view stuff will fail when doing a Select * from Sales Order.  and if I do get a responce I only see the first 400 lines before ther is no responce from the quickbooks application.

PS they have a ton of customers in there system Close to may 30,000 names. and alot of invoices and Sales order...

Could this be causing the majority of the issues with the tables having and holding alot of information

Any Ideas???

A Select * will attempt to return every column for every row in the table. When was the last time you tried to run a report for every transaction in QuickBooks?

Let's try getting it down to a smaller record set:

Select * from SalesOrder UNOPTIMIZED WHERE Txndate > {d '2007-06-30'} and Txndate < {d '2007-08-01'}

The hour glass means it's working on lots of data, this query limits the SalesOrder data to this month only for July, 2007. Let me know how it goes.
